Our programs are designed to maximize your time and effort in the gym and your life. Our ultimate goal is to provide classes that you enjoy and that produce results. Our proven, constantly varied daily workouts created from years of experience will have you making incremental, sustainable progress you can see and feel.

  • CrossFit

    The backbone of our program is traditional CrossFit workouts, focusing on strength, conditioning, and mobility. These workouts combine gymnastics, weightlifting, and metabolic conditioning in varying degrees and durations to create unparalleled results. From the basic (but all-important) air squat all the way to the very technical muscle up and Olympic lifts, we utilize them all and make it workable for anyone at any level of fitness. We build strength, endurance, agility, technical ability, and general awareness of body and mind by training movements that support functional ability and translate to real life. And of course, there are the aesthetic benefits, too.

  • SWEAT

    This class is designed to burn calories and increase strength and muscular endurance. Come tone up those problem areas and make the most of this 1 hour class. It’s great for those who are new to an exercise program and the workouts are adaptable to challenge even the most advanced Athlete. You can try your first week of Sweat classes for free! The Sweat membership rate is $65/month. Existing members who want to add Sweat classes to their membership can do so for an additional $10/month to their current membership. For new members who want to do Sweat and Unlimited CrossFit classes memberships are available for $179/month with a 3 month contract.

     

  • Competitor’s Class

    Designed for the CrossFitter who Rx’s every workout and is looking for the next level. Train with the beasts in our box to get in the best shape of your life. This class will feature advanced Olympic and powerlifting, as well as gymnastics, team workouts and strategy needed to be successful in competition. Try your first week for free! Existing members who want to add Competitor classes to their membership can do so for an additional $10/month to their current membership. For athletes who want to do Competitors classes only The Competitors membership is available for $100/month which includes the 3 classes per week and weekly programming. . For new members who want to do both Competitors class and Unlimited CrossFit classes, memberships are available for $179/month with a 3 month contract.

     

  • Mom’s

    This program is specifically for mom’s and pregnant women looking to stay fit through motherhood and find their way to an even better body after the baby comes, it’s also great for busy mom’s who need to get their workout done in an hour or less. The workouts are designed to target problem areas for each mom and tailored specifically towards each woman in the class and their individual needs. The first class is free! And mom’s are welcome to bring their children. Membership is $200/month and is limited to 10 people per class.

     

  • Olympic Weightlifting

    We include Olympic Weightlifting into our regular CrossFit classes at least three times every week.  We aim to improve the classic Olympic lifts, the snatch and clean and jerk each week. We have found that the most successful CrossFit athletes have built a strong technical foundation in these 2 lifts. Our programming follows set cycles ranging from the introductory level to more advanced cycles prepping lifters for WODs or competition. Our classes are great whether you are looking to improve your technique, proficiency, and strength, or wanting to pursue Olympic Weightlifting as a sport.

  • Youth Strength and Conditioning

    Tuesday and Thursday at 3pm, ages 8 and above, with certified CrossFit Kids Coach Jenny.  The youth program focuses on developing: strength, coordination, speed, agility, balance, focus, leadership skills, improving sports performance, teamwork, anti-bullying tactics, and most of all making fitness FUN!

  • Personal Training

    Our personal training sessions are the most effective and efficient way to achieve your personal fitness goals, whether you’re just starting out on your fitness journey, or an experienced athlete looking to become a more well-rounded athlete with specialized, individual training. Sign up for our personal training sessions where one of our world-class coaches will work with you to help define your goals, develop a specific program and be your personal guide. Each session is designed just for you with a set of eyes on you at all times to ensure you’re getting value out of every one of those minutes.

  • Open Gym

    Miss a workout, looking to work some skills, or schedule too hectic to make regular classes? Open gym gives you the flexibility to get your workouts in, your way.

  • Yoga

    This yoga class is designed to stretch and release all your tight muscles that have worked so hard all week in CrossFit class.  It’s an all levels Vinyasa Flow class held in the upstairs studio at 5:30pm on Thursday evenings.

  • Remote Coaching

    Remote coaching at San Diego Athletics has expanded beyond the realm of only top CrossFit competitors. The programming philosophy at San Diego Athletics adapted to accommodate the constantly-changing approach of each athlete’s training needs. We now have become thought leaders in training competitive athletes, as well as those that just want to live a healthy life and increase their energy and vitality.

    Competition Training – CrossFit Athletes: Since the inception of the “CrossFit Games Open” in 2011, San Diego Athletics (formerly CrossFit PB), has qualified at least one team each year to Regionals, and we qualified two teams in the ultra-competitive SoCal region in 2014. We have also qualified a minimum of 2 individuals from SDA each year, and have qualified over 60 individuals in the past four years, including remote athletes. The process works, and it’s the result of a complete and in-depth programming structure geared at the top athletes in the sport. Training will generally consist of 2-3 hours per day, 5-6 days per week, made up of strength work, skill work, conditioning, as well as “practice” to ensure the utmost proficiency in each component of the sport. Each athlete will be given an initial online assessment, as well as presented with a couple different video submission scenarios so that we can review technique on a variety of exercises. At SDA, we also understand that some athletes just want to get better at CrossFit and master higher-level skills without the impetus of competition. We have a programming structure to suit your needs and personal goals. By working with us, we will help you become the best athlete you can be, even if the ultimate goal is to compete at local competitions, or just make personal improvement.

    Aesthetic and Physique Athletes: Bryan Boorstein, co-owner of SDA, has over 19 years of weight training experience, including 12 years of bodybuilding for physique and aesthetics. After spending 5+ years training strictly CrossFit, Bryan competed in a Men’s Physique show and culminated in Bryan being in the best shape of his life (from a purely aesthetic standpoint). SDA now caters to physique-oriented athletes to help them reach the same goal. The program is comprehensive, providing both training and nutrition. It also includes constant monitoring of your progress throughout the process, and a keen focus on the final weeks of preparation before your the day of your show to account for every detail and variable.

    General Health, Wellness and Longevity: This program is defined by the word “longevity.” This program is meant for those that want to use fitness as a means of enhancing aspects of their life outside of the gym and as part of a full wellness regimen. This program draws from various training methodologies that only require you to train no more than 60 minutes 3-4 times per week. Life is a constant adventure — our Longevity program makes it enjoyable and effortless. The price is $150 per month, and includes adjustments as needed to accommodate the variables that are inherent in life.

    Special Events and Beach Bod: Want to look your best for the summer or a big special event? If you need to prepare for a wedding or social event or maybe they just want to look lean and healthy, our comprehensive program draws elements from our other remote coaching programs to optimally balance physical appearance and health. It is completely individualized and may include some elements of CrossFIt conditioning, physique training elements, and nutritional counseling. The ultimate goal is to help you achieve the look you desire without the stress of trying to do it all on your own. The cost is $150 per month, and includes weekly communication to answer questions and ensure you are on track to meet your goals.
