San Diego Athletics, we would like to welcome Justin Fields to the SDA family.
San Diego Athletics, we would like to welcome Justin Fields to the SDA family. You have probably seen him training and helping out over the past couple months. Justin has been a force in the SoCal fitness world for the past two years. Justin comes to us with an extensive background in athletic training, playing football professionally in Europe, as well as an extensive background coaching and competing in CrossFit. We are very excited to have him on board and look forward to his growth at SDA.

Justin Fields moved to San Diego in 1999 from Texas and attended Orange Glen High School graduating in 2003. From there he took a grant to play football for the University of La Verne where he was a four year starter receiving accolades as being an all conference player and a team captain for multiple seasons. In 2008 he graduated from the University of La Verne with a degree in Communication and went on to play three seasons of professional football in Europe two being in Germany one in Spain.
Upon finishing his last season in Europe and coming back to the states he discovered the phenomenon of Crossfit and described it as “a life changing experience.” In 2012, he received his Level one Crossfit certification and has competed in many organized Crossfit competitions including the OC Throwdown, N.L.I., and C.A.L., which he won in May of 2012. Justin competed in the CrossFit 2014 Team Regionals. He is also a teacher by trade. This skill set definitely comes in useful when it comes to CrossFit coaching.
