Anders Varner has focused on fitness and sport since he was able to walk. At the age of 14 he left home to pursue his dreams of playing ice hockey. While obtaining his business degree in undergrad at James Madison University, much of his attention was still focused on health and fitness.
In 2007 Anders was introduced to the CrossFit training method for the first time. He developed an extreme passion for CrossFit and the budding sport of fitness. He was consumed by it as he strived for constantly increasing his knowledge. Days, weeks, months and years later, he has amassed a great deal of knowledge about the CrossFit methodology.
In continuing his pursuit of education, Anders received his MBA from South University and a two year mentorship under Paul Beckwith, owner of Carolina CrossFit. As his knowledge of business and CrossFit continued to develop after receiving his MBA, he decided to take the next step and combine his passions for fitness, health, and his desire to help people change their lives. Broadening the scope of his training experience, Anders received his CrossFit Level 1 Certification, partnered with longtime best friend, roommate, and training partner, Bryan Boorstein, and opened CrossFit PB in the summer of 2010.
